How one natural herbal tea from Dar es Salaam became the herbal tea our patients call "the Wonder Tea"

Patients walk into our clinic in Kitumbini, Dar es Salaam, with one complaint: painful knees, ringing ears, a bladder they can no longer control. A few weeks after starting one simple herbal tea, many come back with news about something else. Their digestion has settled. Their headaches come less often. Their blood pressure reading at the hospital has come down.

We hear stories like this so often that our patients gave the tea a nickname: Chai ya Ajabu, the Wonder Tea. Its real name is Haiiba Timam Tea.

What Is Haiiba Timam Tea?

Haiiba Timam Tea is a herbal tea developed at Herbal Impact, a traditional medicine clinic in Dar es Salaam licensed since 2012 by Tanzania's Traditional and Alternative Health Practice Council. It was developed by Juma Killaghai, a natural products research chemist since 1995 and a licensed traditional medicine practitioner.

The tea is made from edible plants only: the kind of plants people already eat as food. You brew it at home in a thermos flask, just like ordinary tea.

Why Our Patients Call It a "Miracle"

Most herbal remedies are made for one problem. Haiiba Timam Tea surprised us. Patients usually come for one condition, then tell us that several other problems improved too. One of them, a professional we call George, came to us with urinary incontinence that hospital treatment had not resolved. His symptoms cleared within 14 days of a 35-day course.

The list below is drawn from those reports, collected at our clinic over many years.

Conditions in Which Our Patients Have Reported Improvement

How Long Patients Usually Use It

Most patients use the tea for 2 to 5 weeks. Chronic headaches usually take about 2 weeks; urinary incontinence and tinnitus about 3 weeks; high blood pressure, joint pain and hormone imbalance about 5 weeks. Back pain, liver disease and vitiligo take around 12 weeks, and certain cancers around 24 weeks. Long-term conditions such as weak immunity, diabetes complications and asthma call for long-term use.

One 200 g packet lasts 7 days, so a 5-week course needs 5 packets.

An Honest Word Before You Start

These are reports from our patients, not results of clinical trials. Every body is different, and results vary from person to person. From our experience since 2012, people of all ages have used Haiiba Timam Tea safely.

The tea works best alongside your medical care, not instead of it. If you live with a serious illness such as cancer, heart disease or diabetes, keep taking your prescribed medicine, keep your hospital check-ups, and tell your doctor you are drinking the tea.
